This can result in the tattoo bleeding significantly more than normal during the tattoo (causing the ink to come out) and it can take up to 3 times longer to heal.<br/><br/> I would suggest to talk to a dermatalogist first to get your skin under control before you get the tattoo done. Wood=good.<br/><br/>I have used wood for most of my stretching, the key is to not do too big jumps. Do more smaller jumps and not only will it be healthier, but also quicker than big ones! No more than a 2mm jump for larger sizes (over an inch) or 1mm for smaller sizes.<br/><br/>When I get a new set of wood, I leave it in a snap-lock bag with extra-virgin olive oil (because its cheap) overnight. In the morning I oil up my ears with either Emu Oil or Jojoba oil for around 5-10 minutes and then pop the new ones in.<br/><br/>I normally find that they just slip right in when oiled enough and massaging before hand really helps with elasticity.<br/><br/>You should oil every single day for at least a couple minutes to keep them healthy and loosy-goosy.<br/><br/>Listen to your body. If your lobes are sore or tight, you aren’t ready to go up. If they are comfy and have gape, jump up a mm or two.
