For the earphone anon: Over the ear headphones are a good investment. I bought a pair when I had my industrial done. On top of being incredibly comfortable and covering the ear, thus avoiding the tragus, they also provide better sound. The studio style ones are best :3 Just wanted to share my experience.

I totally agree, I have a set of Senheizer stereo headphones that I’ve worn while healing all sorts of ear work and found them super comfy.

Their only downside is that they are a little ‘noisy’ for others around me, not so awesome on a busy train or bus.
